Innocence is trampled on by selfish arrogance.
The tears of the mighty man fall silent for no one to hear.
His hands grow numb and his fingers white.
Fists of blame beat upon his chest in an attempt to seize his heart.
Fear wears the mask of anger while defeat dances through the halls of his mind.
Light is dim and darkness thickens the air making every breath too painful to take.
Struggling to see hope through the slits of the hands of evil that cover his eyes.
Faith whispers softly words of truth that fall upon his ears and seek to quiet the rage that is fueled by all his fears.
